For over 15 years, I\u2019ve been working on a project to shed light on the realities of this profession\u2014not just from a technical standpoint, but from the human side as well.<\/p>\n
Fourteen years ago, I conducted a similar survey, gathering valuable insights from dispatchers about their work, relationships, pay, and overall well-being. Unfortunately, due to life\u2019s many twists and turns, I wasn\u2019t able to follow through and finish analyzing and sharing those results. But that changes now.<\/p>\n
With the experience and perspective I\u2019ve gained over the years, I\u2019m revisiting this project with a renewed focus\u2014this time, ensuring that the data is collected, analyzed, and shared back with the community. This survey is completely anonymous and designed to capture the full picture of what it means to be a 911 dispatcher today.<\/p>\n
